Leave your skin smoother, more even, and rejuvenated.
How does skin resurfacing with co2 laser work?
The CO2 laser uses a high-energy beam of light to target the skin. The laser’s energy vaporizes the outer layers of the skin (epidermis) and heats the deeper layers (dermis) to stimulate collagen production.
Here’s the process:
- Skin Layer Removal: The laser removes a fraction of the skin’s surface, which helps shed damaged, old skin.
- Collagen Stimulation: It encourages the body to produce new collagen, which improves skin texture and tone over time.
- Precision: The fractional CO2 laser only targets a portion of the skin at a time, leaving surrounding tissue intact for faster healing.
How to prepare for skin resurfacing with co2 laser?
24–48 Hours Before:
- Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin.
- Avoid alcohol, which can increase skin sensitivity and swelling.
- Avoid hair removal (waxing, threading) near the treatment area.
- Clean skin on the day of the treatment (no makeup, lotions, or sunscreens).
Who can get skin resurfacing with co2 laser?
You can undergo laser hair removal as long as you’re over the age of 18 (or accompanied by a parent) and not pregnant or breastfeeding. This treatment works best for those with darker hair since the laser works by pin-pointing the pigment.Contrary to popular belief, the color of your skin doesn’t make a difference. Our laser technology works on a very deep level, so it’s able to bypass the pigment in your skin to treat even those with deeper skin tones effectively.
Skin resurfacing with co2 laser aftercare
Immediately After:
- Monitor for side effects: Some women and men may experience side effects after starting HRT, including breast tenderness, headaches, bloating, or spotting (in women). These side effects are often temporary.
- Keep track of symptoms: Make a note of any changes in your symptoms, either improvements or new side effects, and share them with your healthcare provider during follow-up visits.
First 3–5 Days:
- Moisturize frequently with a gentle, hydrating moisturizer (look for products with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, or petroleum jelly).
- Avoid sun exposure, this is crucial for proper healing. Stay indoors or wear SPF 30+ if going outside.
- Ice packs can be used to reduce swelling.
- Do not pick at the skin or peel off any scabs, this can cause scarring.
- Avoid hot water, saunas, or intense sweating for at least a week.
